Research & Knowledge Mobilization
The Global Classroom for Democracy Innovation (GCDI) grounds its research through its practical work with students from across the world. Engagement with critical pedagogy, decolonial praxis and bridging the dichotomy between the curricular and co-curricular spaces has been central to our work. The interdisciplinary nature of our team, located in Canada, Sweden and across the African continent, has brought together insights from the fields of Design, Pedagogy, Political Sciences, Sociology and Anthropology to build a transformative student experience, while also developing scholarship on this process. Student feedback is integrated into our outputs, as we position students as participants and co-creators of our practice.
